Walk for the Animals
Join us for the 2026 Walk for the Animals on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Walk kicks off at 10AM. Walk for the Animals our largest community fundraiser of the year! Gather your family, friends, coworkers, or fellow animal lovers and walk in support of homeless, neglected, and vulnerable animals in our community.
Participants can register as individuals or create/join a fundraising team to make an even greater impact. Whether you're walking in honor of a beloved pet, supporting animal welfare, or simply looking for a fun community event, every step helps provide shelter, medical care, enrichment, and second chances for animals in need.
Corporate and community teams are encouraged, and all ages are welcome. Together, we can make a difference—one paw at a time.

About Abby Lange: Abby served on the Board of Directors and volunteered in a variety of roles. For those of us who knew Abby, we regarded her as the most passionate and enthusiastic fan of the shelter that we had ever known. During her years on the Board she advocated for every opportunity to better serve the animals in our community. The Walk was especially near and dear to her heart, and she often bragged about all of the Walk t-shirts she had collected over the years by attending every single walk. In 2019, Abby lost her battle with cancer. Before she passed, we let her know her legacy would include being remembered at our Walk. Each year, we offer a moment of silence in remembrance of Abby.
